One of our immediate challenges has been locating local speakers. As soon as you secure permission from principals and sponsors, I would start dialogue with sponsors and the school district’s technology specialist to enable video conferencing. One platform we will be using “Big Blue Button”, which has some additional features that may not be available by Skype. It is very important to work with the district’s technology specialists because schools must set up safety walls to keep their systems safe from the outside which may limit accessibility. Once you can do long distance video conferencing, the sky is the limit on speakers. You can contact female STEM speakers from all over the world.
