Our first year we decided to call ourselves founder/co-president ( there are 2 of us sharing leadership responsibilities). We added 2 other senior officers for additional help.

Future Leadership
We chose 2 junior officers with the intention that next year those 2 officers will be co-presidents. We are involving the junior officers at all meetings so they will be ready to take over next year. This outline and all other necessary information will become part of the GEMS notebook that will be passed on from year to year. We plan to have enough contacts and experiments to fill 3 years of once monthly meetings. Our high school is presently grades 10-12 and our junior highs are 7-9 so a 3 year cycle should be sufficient. Of course we may find some speakers worth bringing back more often. With the excitement level of the teachers and specialists we have found it should be fairly easy to continue to find new contacts for speakers.
